Wildlife Portrait #2: Red fox (Vulpes vulpes)
 
For me, the red fox represents adaptation and transformation. They make their homes across the urban-wilderness gradient and balance dual roles of hunter and hunted. They are also the most widespread land carnivore in the world occurring everywhere from the tundra to the suburbs.
