Wildlife Portrait #7: Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus)

If you find yourself thinking, “what is that really loud bird?”  then it is probably a Carolina wren. They hang out in pairs and defend their territory year-round with their incredibly loud singing. These little backyard bug ninjas are poor flyers but excellent hoppers, climbers, and zippers.
