Wildlife Portrait #3: American crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos)
8x10 print
The American crow is our clever and charismatic feathered neighbor. I've been drawn to them (and all birds in the family Corvidae) since childhood. Crows live in cooperative family groups made up of a mated pair and their offspring. Young crows often stay with their parents for several years before dispersing (leaving the nest).
